Hey there!

If x = -2 is a zero of the polynomial f( x) 2x³ - 3x² - 8x + 12, then remainder f ( -2) = 0.

If x = -2,

2( -2)^3 -3(-2)²-8(-2)+12

=2(-8)-3(4)+16+12

=-16-12+16+12

=0.

HERE IF X=-2 THEN THE POLYNOMIAL IS ZERO,HENCE IT IS ZERO OF THE POLYNOMIAL 2x³ - 3x² - 8x + 12

Solution:

2x³-3x²-8x+12

Put x= -2

2(-2)³ - 3(-2)² - 8(-2)+12

2(-8) - 3(4) +16+12

-16 -12 +16+12

-16+16-12+12

0

The value of this Polynomial is zero (0)

YES, The value x=-2 is a zero of the given Polynomial.
