Psychological addiction: craving, strong desire to smoke / drink / take drugs
Situations associated with smoking / smoker’s mood and psychological state triggers craving
Physiological addiction: display symptoms such as tolerance
Person needs more of the substance to achieve the same effect
Withdrawal symptoms if substance not taken - nausea, irritability, anxiety...
