1000³ - 1³ - 3 ( 1000)²(1) + 3 ( 1000)(1)²

1000000000-1 -3000000+3000

identity used = ( a- b)³

                       = a³ - b³ - 3a²b + 3ab²

Answer:

(999)^3 = (1000-1)^3

using (a-b)^3 = a^3 - b^3 - 3ab(a-b)

a = 1000 , b = 1

= (1000)^3 - (1)^3 - 3(1000)(1)(1000-1)

= 1000000000 - 1 - 3(1000)(1)(999)

= 1000000000 - 1 - 2997000

= 997002999
