During evaporation, the liquid molecules escapes from the surface of the liquid.
The liquid molecules absorb heat from the surface of the body and escapes to the atmosphere.
So the energy needed for evaporation is taken from our body in the form of heat.
Eg: spirit applied to our body during injections evaporate quickly and make us feel cool on the particular area.
The same principle is used in refrigerators also.

- The process of changing liquid into gas both below and at the boiling temperature is called Evaporation. Evaporation gain heat from the surrounding as a result there is a loss of heat in the surrounding the cooling process start and the surface become cool. This is the reason why evaporation produce cooling.
