yes evaporation is a surface phenomenon while boiling is bulk phenomena because in evaporation the molecule at the surface of the work surface of water only get evaporated by L atent heat from environment. where as in boiling extra heat is provided and heat act on whole amount of water and water get evaporated

Yes evaporation is the surface phenomenon as the liquid changes into vapours at any temperature with respect to surface.While boiling is the bulk phenomenon as the liquid changes into vapours only at specific temperature (water =100°celcius )
