let us take an example of haryana..

that state has been ruled by congress since 1982..but the people were unhappy with the existing government and were attracted towards devilal's promise

chaudhary devi lal and his party promised that if they won the elections they will waive the loans of farmers ns small buisnessman

as aresult in next election their party LOK DAL and their partners won 76/90 votes in state assembly ....and devilal became the C.M

AFTER BECOMING THE C.M HE FULFILLED HIS PROMISE AND RULED FOR FURTHER 4 YEARS

BUT IN UPCOMING ELECTIONS HELD IN 1991 CONGRESS WON THE ELECTION....

HERE EVEN DEVI LAL'S POPULARITY FAILED WHILE HE DID BETTERMENT OF FARMERS

HOPE HELPED..
