Even though area wise Rajasthan is a large state the population is less. Which geographical factors may be responsible for this?

due to these reasons
1. high temperature during day and low temperature at night.
2. low vegetation on Sandy areas.
3. scarcity of water.
4. absence of horizon B.

"The only reason why it seems that the total population of Rajasthan is less than other states is that other states are overpopulated.


The density of their population is a lot which makes other states look like a small number.



Another thing is that, even though the area is large, it is most of the desert region with the Pakistan border attached to this. This makes the total development rate to go up slowly.
