Even though maddie was sometime embarrassed by the question peggy asked wanda she didn't stop her why was she embarrassed and why didn't she stop peggy ?how was she different from peggy?

Maddie herself was a poor girl. she had no clothes of her own, she got hand me down clothes from her bestie Peggy. she wasn't able to protest against her, as if she would have done so, then Peggy would have started the same with Maddie and Maddie would be insulted I'm front of all. Maddie was different from Wanda, as she was not that poor and even didn't lie and also did not live on area like boggin heights.
