Gold, silver, platinum are noble metals..they are very less reactive with atmospheric air and moisture and hence there are lesser chances of these metals getting tarnished. Moreover these metals are quite rare and have beautiful metallic lustre which make them more attractive for making jewellery. Also gold is a highly malleable and ductile metal..so it can easily be shaped. So these metals are used in making jewellery.
