even though NaOH contains OH, it is not included in the group of organic compound. Why?

Organic compounds are those which contains one one or more carbon atoms are covalently linked with other elements like hydrogen, oxygen, sulphur, hydroxyl ion etc.
But here in sodium hydroxide NaOH. There is no carbon atom. So, it can't be considered as an organic compound rather it is an inorganic compound.
