Even though the magnitudes of action and reaction force are equal and their reaction force are equal and their reaction force are equal and their directions are opposite , their effects do not get cancelled ? why ? important note: [write first in comments and then when i think its correct i will tell you to write it in answer section , please]

amar30: if we push a wall with a force and the wall is not moving it means equal force is acting from opposite side. so we can say that resultant force is zero. if equal force do not act from opposite side wall stars moving
adityakhairnar: the answer which you are telling is very much related to inertia. The wall has his own inertia due to which it does'nt moves when force is acting on it.

According to Newton's Third " Every action has equal and opposite reaction "
Action = - Reaction
But these forces even though they are equal and opposite they don't cancel each other because they don't act on the same object.
"Action and Reaction forces act on two different objects"

For example:
Consider an object placed on the ground.
We have action force  [weight = mg ] is exerted by the block on the ground. and reaction force is normal force exerted by the ground on block..
Hence as they act on different objects. They do not cancel.

Answer:

action and reaction force acts on different body given the magnitude of action and reaction forces are equal and the direction are opposite their efforts did not get cancelled
