Even though there is more electronegative chlorine atom is present , Bcl3 and ccl4 are having zero dipole moment . why ?​

it is because of the symmetry of the compound. in BCl3 the dipole moment caused by the chlorine atoms is cancelled out by the lone pairs of B. in CCl4 the dipole moment caused is cancelled out by the dipole moment caused by the chlorine atom on the opposite side.
