Dear Student,

Solution:

(1) If Nilofer has x marbles, how many marbles does Kevin have?

Answer:

A.T.Q. Kevin has 20 more marbles than Nilofer

if nilofer has x marbles than Kevin has x+20 marbles.

(2) If Nilofer has x marbles, how many marbles does Nirav have?

Answer:

Total number of marble that Nilofer and Kevin have = x + x+20 = 2x+20

A.T.Q Nirav have 5 more marbles than both Nilofer and Kevin have,

So Nirav have = 2x+20+5 marbles = 2x+25 marbles.

(3) If the present age of Ramu is taken as x years, what are present age of his father and his grandmother?

Answer: If present age of Ramu is x years.

A.T.Q his Father's age is three time of ramu's age ,

So father's age = 3x years

His grand father's age is x+3x + 13 = 4x+13 years.

(4) If Ramu's present age is 15 years, what is the present age of his father?

Answer:

Ramu's age is 15 years

than his father's age is 3 × 15 = 45 years.

Hope it helps you.

Event 1 : Kevin says to Nilofer that he has 20 marbles more than her. Nirav says that he has 5 marbles more than the total of what Kevin and Nilofer have.

If Nilofer has x marbles, then Kevin will have have 20 marbles more than her.

or, Kelvin will have (x + 20) marbles.

Now, Nirav says that he has 5 marbles more than the total of what Kevin and Nilofer have.

Total marbles of kevin & Nilofer = (x) + (x+20) = 2(x+10).

So, Nirav will have = (2x + 25) marbles.

Event 2 : Ramu says to his friend that his father's age is three times his present age. And his grandfather's age is 13 years more than the sum of his and his father's age.

If the present age of Ramu is taken as x years, then age of his father will be three times his present age i.e. 3x years old and that of his grandmother will be 13 years more than the sum of his and his father's age i.e. (13+x+3x) years old or, (4x+13) years old.

If Ramu's present age is 15 years, the present age of his father will be thrice of 15 i.e. 3*15 = 45 years old.
