From Namche Bazaar, the writer looked at Everest. The writer saw a huge snowflake on Everest. It is formed due to strong wind. On March 26, when the expedition reached Parich, it was found that one of the coolies died and four people were injured due to slipping snow from the Sherpa porters who were going to the snowfall.

On reaching the base camp, it was found that a kitchen assistant had died due to adverse climate. The team was then given the necessary training. On 29 April, he reached base camp at 7900 m altitude, where Tenzing encouraged the writer. On May 15-16, 1984, suddenly at 12:30 at night, the glacier broke down on the camp, which destroyed the camp, everyone was hurt.

The writer was buried in ice. She was evacuated. Then a few days later the writer reached Southcoll Camp. There, she made everyone happy by helping the fellow who followed. The next day she set out on a summit with Angadorzi in the morning. After hard work, she reached the summit camp. The climb became easier as another companion Lhatu arrived and oxygen supply increased. On May 23, 1984, at 1:07 pm, the writer stood on the top of Everest.

She was the first Indian woman to climb Everest. There was no way of standing with two people on the peak, they protected themselves by digging snow with a snow shovel. The writer knelt down and kissed the crown of 'Sagarmathe'. Then Durga Maa and Hanuman Chalisa were wrapped in cloth and pressed into ice. Angadorzi greeted him with a hug.
