Equatorial evergreen forest is considered to be impenetrable because it does not allow sunlight to reach ground. ... These forests have very dense vegetation. Many different types of trees and other plants can be found growing in a relatively small area of rainforest.

Evergreen forests are found in equatorial region:

  • Equatorial region refers to narrow belt of a region on both north and south of equator up to tropics.
  • This equatorial region faces direct rays from sun throughout year in daytime.
  • This causes immense evaporation of water bodies presents nearby.
  • So, there is convectional rainfall in afternoons.
  • Even climate is very hot and humid which is ideal for forest's growth.
  • So, evergreen trees that can withstand high rainfall are found here.
