Article 25 of the Indian Constitution represents the sentence "Every citizen of India has the freedom to practice his or her own religion".

The Right to freedom of religion gives humans the liberty and right to practice and preach any religion of their choice. This right also ensures that all religions are equal and will not be given preference in the eyes of law.

This right is described in the Constitution as below :

  • Articles 25, 26, 27, & 28 give citizens the right to practice any religion, manage religious affairs, and liberty from taxes to proceedings used for the promotion of any religion, and freedom to attendance in certain educational institutions for religious events.
  • Thus Articles 25-28 give every citizen a choice and freedom to preach their choice of religion.

However, Article 25 mainly gives a brief about the freedom to choose any religion.
