no i dont agree. linear equation means the degree of the equation pr the highest power of the varialble is 1. But there are also quadratic equations , biquadratic equatuons , etc which have degree 2 and 4 respectively. they are also equation. a simple rule of an equation is that Lhs = rhs irregardless of the variables used , degree , and the coefficients of exponents. any equation's major symbol.is "=".
