i would most probably talk and discuss this issue with my friend concerning about how lazy and late he is and that now its time to start being a responsible person! i would also explain the value of time and energy to him and make him understand what people have to go through because of him.

ask ur friend about his delay and if the reason is silly ask him to reach school by some other means..
