A balanced diet is a diet which provides the body with all the nutrients that are required to carry on the normal bodily functions correctly. They are the foods that are high in minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients, and low in fat and sugars. It should include fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes, lean proteins, dairy products, and nuts. Foods with empty calories should be avoided as they do not provide any nutritional value.

It is important to have a balanced diet regularly so that the organs and tissues receive proper nutrition to work effectively. Without proper nutrition, the body is easily prone to infections, diseases, fatigue which lead to poor performance of the body.

Children who are malnourished and do not have a proper diet are at a risk of having problems in growth and development, which may lead to poor educational performance and risk to lives.

Many diseases have also been influenced by an improper diet which may also lead to deaths. These diseases include diabetes, obesity, cancer, heart diseases, stroke etc.

Therefore, to lead a healthy and active life, it is important to have a balanced diet regularly.

In order to carry out normal life along with healthy lifestyle you have to take the balance diet. As a balanced diet provide proper nutrient and nourishment to the body. Only eating one food continuously does not help any one for health . Eating of proper food in order to get required protein, vitamins and minerals alongwith with necessary nutrients are necessary in order to eat balanced diet otherwise malnutrition would be the result of this .

Malnutrition is actually about getting unbalanced diet whether it is low or high . High amount of nutrition like fats and proteins generally caused obesity if the life style remains same . Also it increase risk of heart attack and high cholesterol.

On the other hand under nutrition can also result in number of disease for example the lack of protein cause " Kwashiorkor". Similarly lack of folic acids and other vitamins cause Beri Beri, night blindness and some serious diseases also. The amount of minerals is also necessary in this matter . If someone have low iodine level he may get the 'Goiter"  similarly low iron and magnesium level also cause abnormal body function . Low level of calcium may result in the "rickets" a bone disease.  Other nutrients deficiency also result in several complications.
