Because some have large amounts of unwanted substances such as sand, stones some impurities.

The Elements or compounds of the metals which occurs in the nature in the earth's crust are called minerals whereas Ore is a mineral from which metal can easily extracted is called an ore . For example , aluminium exists into mineral forms that is clay and Bauxite . So all ores are minerals but all minerals need not be ores
