If there exists a prime number greater than whose last digit is (or 0 , 4 , 6 , 8 ) then that number can be divided by and so it is not prime. The same applies for every other prime number. If is a prime number then there is no prime number which is divisible by .

Two is a prime number because its only factors are 1 and itself. It is an even number as well because it can be divided by 2. All of the other prime numbers are odd, including 3, 5, 7, 11 and 13.
