Every social difference does not lead to social division.

social division takes place only when some social difference overlaps with other differences. For example:the differnce between blacks and whites in US became social division because blacks tended to be poor, homeless and were discriminated whereas it was opposite in the case of white people.

But if social differences cross cut one another social division cannot take place.

for example ÷ in Netherland catholics and protestants both were equally rich and poor so here , there was no chance of social division.

hope it will help you..
