Giving back to society
Explanation:
Good morning, worthy Principal, respected teachers and all my dear friends. My name in Aruna and today I would like to share my humble opinion on a very sensitive topic.
According to a newspaper floods and draughts killed almost three thousand people in India last year. More than five thousand people were rendered homeless and faced acute poverty. There's no doubt that floods and draughts have increased in the last few years. And more and more number of citizens are facing acute loss due to it. The increase can definitely be linked to the heinous activities of human being, activities which are destroying the nature completely.
The poor are the most vulnerable and from time to time the government has taken innumerous measures to help them. The government often gives funds and executes the best mitigation strategies to minimise the loss. But, the government is not the only stakeholder. we all should come forward and help our fellow citizens.
The destruction caused by these natural disasters are a sight of pity. We all can contribute in some way or the other. As students we all can do the following things:
- We can donate a part of our pocket money to flood and draught relief centres.
- We can also ask our parents and grandparents to contribute.
- Students can also donate medicines which are not being used at their home
- We can also also organise clothe donation drive in school. These clothes can be used by by the victims and it will protect them from extreme weather conditions.
- And at last we all should come forward and pledge to help.
Thanks for being such good listeners, have a nice day.
