To be honest 5 Km is a short distance and no special diet is required. Having said that try not to run after eating atleast for 2–3 Hrs. If you do since you may start having abdomen pain during the run. If you are a morning runner, then preferably have a heavy breakfast after your run. If you are an evening runner (say start at around 5–6) you would be better of eating lunch between 12:30–13:30 and not consume anything except water thereafter.
