Everyone likes him, don't they?

Some rules:

Rule 1:

Variant verbs are used in abbreviated form when the question tag is negative.

Rule 2:

If the sentence is positive, the question mark is negative and vice versa.

Rule 3:

Pronouns are used with question marks, not nouns.

A question mark is a very short phrase at the end of a sentence that turns a statement into an interrogative sentence.

Four types of question marks:

1. Negative question mark

If the main clause is positive, the question tag should be negative.

2. Positive question mark

If the main clause is negative, the question mark must be positive.

3. Question mark with auxiliary verb

If the main clause has an auxiliary verb (to be, to be, to do, to turn on, etc.), the same auxiliary verb also has a question mark.

4. Question mark without auxiliary verb

If the main clause has no auxiliary verb, the question mark is formed with the corresponding do form.
