Eveteasing completing story

Eve teasing has been a huge issue when it comes to women's safety, but when eve-teasers adopt strange ways to "compliment" women and "impress" them, it can get a little awkward.
The new generation of young women have had enough of the constant demeaning eve-teasing, and they aren't scared to raise a voice against it.
But what do you do when the eve-teasing is a little stranger than we expected?
"I was walking to office from Khar station, and a man was staring at me with the usual gross smirk, but then he came up to me and said "smart." That's it. Just the word smart. I was so confused, should I say thanks? should I be offended? It was very weird." Aashna, 20 recalled.
Catcalling has been a huge issue when it comes to women's safety, but when eve-teasers adopt strange ways to "compliment" women and "impress" them, it can get a little awkward.
"I was walking at Lower Parel market, a man standing nearby at a stall was giving me a death stare, and as soon as I crossed his path, he said "nice boob." That's it, just one boob. Nice Boob. Was it my left boob? or my right boob? I'll never know. But that was so unusual, I had nothing to say. I couldn't stop laughing at the thought that he found just one boob nice though." Neha, 20 shared laughingly.
"I was looking for a rickshaw at Carter Road, and I was just outside Social but no rickshaw was willing to take me. There were a bunch of men sitting on a parapet behind me, and I could tell they were gawking. I was extremely scared because I was wearing shorts and they could just stretch out their hand and touch me. But what happened next surprised me." Riya 19, said.
"One of the men from behind me yelled "madam aapka bag ka colour mast hai" (the colour of your bag is pretty.) It was a neon pink bag, and a bit flashy, I agree. But why did they comment on my bag? I had no words. Soon after the comment, they just got up and left. I found it very odd that they commented on my bag like that." she finished.
So many women have been seeing this strange pattern of eve-teasing, if we can even call it that. But, everyone is just simply confused with these puzzling comments and compliments.
"I mean it's a refreshing change to hear "nice" and "smart" instead of the old "ey sexy" and "baby smile karo na" (baby, smile for me), but it would be much better if we were just left alone to do what we want." Sara 19, said.
While we appreciate that the gross, demeaning and dirty comments are being laid off, it still is bizarre and something that women are still very uncomfortable with.
