Answer:

let present ages be 4x and 3x

nine year hence their ages will be =4x+9 & 3x+9

((4x+9)/(3x+9))=23/18

18(4x+9)=23(3x+9)

72x+162=69x+207

3x=45

x=15

so present ages will be 4x=4×15=60 & 3x=3×15=45
