1.Different life forms have evolved during the course of evolution.

Classification deals with the grouping of these life forms into

groups and sub groups based on similarities and differences.

2. The more characteristics any two species have in common,

more closely they are related.

3.Thus classification helps in tracing the evolutionary relationship

between the two organisms. Hence, evolution and classification

are interlinked.

1.) Classification is the arrangement of organisms according to their characteristics . Characteristics are the details of appearance and behaviour of that organism.

2.) Classification based on evolution is considered as advanced and effective. It divide s the organisms into groups and sub-groups based on their functions or body structure. The more number of variations in an organism , the more the number of groups.

3.) The Classification of organisms into groups is a reflection of their common ancestors and hence evolutionary relationships also.

Thus , we can say that 'Evolution and Classification of organisms are interlinked.'
