Lamarck and Darwin both believed in acquired inheritance, but Darwin added an additional mechanism of evolution by suggesting his theory of natural selection

Here are some on evolution of giraffe as according to Darwinism theory:-

1. In ancestors of girafte different length of neck was inheritable.

2. As a result of struggle for existance giraffes with longer neck were better adapted.

3. Due to natural selection offsprings with long neck increased in number, while those with short neck after some time were gradually disappeared.

4. Due to the above reason giraffes with only longer neck were able to survive.

5. They tried to jump for getting their food on trees and then it resulted overall in increase of the neck.
