Evolution should not be equated with progress."Justify the statement. *Evolution is not exactly taking place from lower organisms to higher organisms but it can be related to the fact that higher and complex body forms evolved even when the low and simple forms are still existing.

Evolutions cannot be equated to progress since we cannot say that all the evolution bring better characters and traits. For example if humans evolve limbless it will be a disadvantage to them and it cannot be considered as a progress.
