Dear Sir,

Subject: Congestion of roadways leading to the school.

With due respect, I, the undersigned would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned regarding the issue of congested roads swelled with potholes, garbage dumps and trash everywhere, through the columns of your esteemed newsletter.

The MG road leading to my school, and multiple other workspaces, shops & malls remains jammed due to the excessive amounts of potholes and garbage heaped in the roads. Adding to the usual traffic jam caused due to the vehicles present, the potholes and garbage piled on the roads makes it very hard for us students to reach our school on time and makes it hard for parents to get to work on time as well. Moreover, the potholes serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes and degrades the quality of the land and atmosphere, causing a health threat for travellers travelling through this route. Due to the extreme traffic caused, many locals break out fights at the crack of dawn, which delays the clearance of the traffic jam even more.

Though many of us have complained about the issue to the PWD (Public Works Department), we haven't heard back from the officials regarding a solution to this problem. Hope that this letter can be highlighted in the columns of your reputed newspaper to draw the attention of the authorities concerned, as well as the general public.

Thank you

Yours faithfully,

Aman.
