find more than time taken to cover the remaining distance. 100%-60%

=40%

48km /hr ÷60%

=48÷60%

=28.8

=28.8 ×10

=2.88 km (a)

and

and the remaining distance is 40%

=40%×30

=12

=12÷10

= 1.2

=1.2 km (b)

the total distance a+b

=. 2.88 km +1.2 km

=4.8 km
