Answer :-

Let the two digit number is xy .

we know that we can write it as = 10x+y

Sum of digits = x + y

According to the question:

10x+y = 4 (x+y)

10x + y = 4x + 4y

10x - 4x = 4y - y

6x = 3y

6x/3 = y

2x = y .....(1)

New no. = 10y + x

10y + x + 9 = 20 x + 2y

10y - 2y + 9 = 20x - x

8y + 9 = 19x

8( 2x ) + 9 = 19 x [ From eq. (1) ]

16x + 9 = 19x

9 = 19x - 16x

9 = 3x

x = 9/3

x = 3 ....(2)

Putting eq. (2) in eq. 1

y = 2x

y = 2(3)

y = 6

Therefore the original no. is 36
