Solution : Let the angles of the triangle be

a - d

a, a + d in degrees.

.. a - d + a + a + d = 180°

.. 3a = 180°

a = 60°

Also, smallest angle

= 40°

a - d = 40°

.: 60° - d = 40°

. 60° - 40° = d

d=20°

Now, a + d = 60° + 20° = 80°

Hence the angles are 40°, 60°, 80°
