Mrs Amelia Slater is a greedy and materialistic woman.she is a dominating wife.Henry is a hen-pecked husband who cannot raise his voice against her and follows her orders like a slave.
She did not pay respect to her supposedly dead father,but was mote worried about dividing his property among herself and her sister Elizabeth.She was selfish and greedy.She did not even bother to call the doctor.This shows that she had no regard for her father.Thus she is very insensitive.
