Constitutional rights of minorities:
- In India, minorities had a tough time before independence. So now, they have special rights. Eg: the dalits have the right to get the government job even if they get 40% in their examination when compared to brahmins even if they get 60%.
- A person can directly approach the supreme court if found that there is a violation of fundamental right.
- Everyone is equal before the law. No one has special rights in order to not follow any law Laws are made for people by people in india.
- Prohibition of discrimination on the basis of caste, sex, religion, race etc.. people should not be discriminated. There should be equal rights to a dalit to study, to have a job, and also to survive.
- Equality of opportunity in employment of jobs. The dalits and also the lower castes shall get government jobs.
- Freedom of religion. Every person has the right to follow their own religion.
