FACTORS THAT LED TO THE FRENCH REVOLUTION WERE
-social causes
     division of the French society into 3 estates.
     about 60% of lands were owned by the 1st and the 2nd estate
     only the 3rd estate was supposed to pay taxes
-economical causes
     the new king Louis XVI found an empty treasury.
     to meet the regular expenses like maintaining law and order, the army and       the palace of Versailles the taxes were increased.
