Some of the impacts of caste system on democracy of India are: 

• Social bonding and unity is weakened. 

• Violence in society increases. 

• There is a Misuse misuse of democratic rights is seen. 

• This also creates developmental obstacles in education, finance, and pedigree. 

• Altogether it’s a big divisive factor that should be eradicated. 

 The biggest measures to eradicate casteism can be: 

• Proper education to help people understand their true rights 

• Banning the caste system religiously, socially, legally and politically.

(i) Expression of caste differences in politics gives many disadvantaged communities the space to demand this share of power. In this sense caste politics has helped people from Dalits and OBC caste to gain better access to decision-making. 

(ii) Several political and non-political organizations have been demanding and agitating for an end to discrimination against particular castes, for more dignity and more access to land, resources and opportunities. 

(iii) Exclusive attention can produce negative results as well. It can divert attention from other pressing issues such as poverty, development and corruption. In some cases it leads to violence.
