Interest groups make groups for having the common interest to a certain objective.
Pressure roups make a groups for certain development of that particular group.

Methods adopted by the interest groups and pressure groups in India to put pressure on government.

1.They conduct information campaigns to make the public aware of certain public issues..

2.They hold meetings, use the media to draw the attention to their issue. Their main aim is to get public support, mobilise public opinion in their favour. ​

3. They organise strikes, dharnas and obstruct government from functioning normally. They show their anger and dissatisfaction with the government policies in this way.

4.They even take help of the media to publicise their issues and try to bring into the limelight of both te governmen and public.

5.They work as the mouth piece of the people trying to deliver heir grievances to the governmen and demand e government to remove these grievances.
