Answer: president rule is imposed according to the Article 356 of the Indian constitution.

There are two grounds for imposition of presidents rule -

1. Article 356- When state cannot be carried on accordance with the conditional provisions.

2. Article 365- Whenever state fails to comply with the direction from the centre.

Aftereffects of imposition of presidents rule-

1. President dismisses the state council ministers headed by chief minister.

2. The state Governor, on behalf of the President, carries on the state administration with the help of chief Secretary of the state.
