In a democracy social divisions are reflected in many ways like it is natural that political parties would talk about these divisions:
(i) make different promises to different communities,
(ii) look after the due representation of various communities,
(iii) make policies to redress the grievances of the disadvantaged communities.
(iv) In the same way social divisions affect voting in most countries. People from one community tend to prefer some party more than others. In many countries there are parties that focus only on one community.

Hey mate

Here is your answer

Social divison are reflected in democracy through following ways:

Caste : A particular caste is given more important. Even the party also give their ticket to a candidate of a particular strong caste in order to earn more votes.

Religion : Some of the religions are thought to be higher in our society while some are thought to be inferior.Hindu Muslim riots are common due to social division between both the communities.

Gender : India is a men domination country. Here womens are not given as much as important as men. Even the literacy rate, job facilities, and income of women is comparatively low.
