The weimar constitution had some inherent defects which made it unstable and vulnerable to dictator ship. These were:
1)Proportional Represenation: This made achieving a majorty by any one party a near impossible task, leading to rule by coalitions.
2)Article 48:Which the the president the powers to impose emergency, suspend civil rights and rules by decree.
3)Within it's short life the Weimar Republic saw 20 different cabinets lasting on a average 239 days, and a liberal use of Article 48.
4)People lost confidence in the democratic parliamentary system, which seemed to offer no solutions.
