acceleration of 18 m/s2 and a mass m2, an
acceleration of 24 m/s2. What is acceleration would it
give if both the masses were tied together?​

For mass m1

newton 2nd law

F=m1a1

5=m1×10

m1=21kg

For mass m2

F=m2a2

5=m2×20

m2=41kg

if tied together 

Total mass =m1+m2=21+41=43kg

Now

F=MTQT

aT=mT5=35×4=320m/s2
