  • Generally,the mass of water contained in cup is 250g.The molecular mass of water is 18g per mol.

  • Number of molecules present in a cup of water,

n = (6.022×10^23) × (250) / (18) = 8.36×10^24

  • Each molecule of water(H2O) contain 2+8=10 electrons as well as proton.

  • Total no. of electrons or protons present in a cup of water,

n’ = n×10 = 8.36×10^25

  • Total negative or positive charge = q = n’e

q = (8.36×10^25) × (1.6×10^-19) C = 1.33×10^7 C.
