Area

= 1/2 *X * X

= 0.5 X^2

If the sides are doubled, I. E. 2X per side

Area

= 1/2 *2X * 2X

=2X^2

RATIO OF THE SMALL TRIANGLE TO THE BIG TRIANGLE WILL BE :-

0.5 X^2 : 2X^2

= 0.5 : 2

= 1/2 : 2

= 4:1

Percentage increase in area of the triangle is 300%
