Answer :-

Given :-

  • Product of three positive integers = 300

  • One of them is 5

To Find :-

  • Least possible value of sum of other two.

Solution :-

300 = Product of other two × 5

Product of other two = 300 / 5 = 60

So, now we have product of two numbers and we are asked the least possible value of their sum.

Writing 60 as product of two numbers :-

60 = 60 × 1 ( 60 + 1 = 61 )

60 = 30 × 2 ( 30 + 2 = 32 )

60 = 20 × 3 ( 20 + 3 = 23 )

60 = 15 × 4 ( 15 + 4 = 19 )

60 = 12 × 5 ( 12 + 5 = 17 )

60 = 10 × 6 ( 10 + 6 = 16 )

Hence, the least possible value of their sum = 16
