Example 3.9 The sum of thrice the first number, second number and twice the third
number is 5. If thrice the second number is subtracted from the sum of first number and
thrice the third we get 2. If the third number is subtracted from the sum of twice the first
thrice the second, we get 1. Find the numbers.

please answer it properly.... with full explanation.....

Answer:

Let as assume the two numbers are x and y.

Given:-

3x+y=142--------------->1

4x-y =138.

y=4x-138----------------->2

after being completed in the copy follow the next step from here because no place was left there so I thought of completing the rest here....

3x+2+2×3=5

3x+2+6=5

3x+8=5

3x=5-8

3x=-3

x=-3/3 gives -1, so x=-1.
