Answer:

50 km h-¹ or 13.9 m s-¹

Explanation:

distance covered by the car,

s=2400 km – 2000 km = 400 km

Time elapsed, t = 8 h

Average speed of the car is

Vav = s/t = 400km/8

=50 km h-¹

50 km/h x 1000m / 1km x 1h/3600s

= 13.9m s-¹

The average speed of the car is 50 km h-¹ or 13.9 m s-¹

\huge {\green {\sf {\underline {\underline {Solution}}}:-}}

Distance travelled by the car,

s = 2400 km - 2000 km = 400 km

Time elapsed, t = 8 h

Average speed of the car is,

 v_{av} =  \frac{s}{t}  =  \frac{400 \: km}{8 \: h} \\   = 50 \: km \:   {h}^{ - 1} \\  = 50  \: \frac{km}{h}  \times  \frac{1000 \: m}{1 \: km}  \times  \frac{1 \: h}{3600 \: s} \\  = 13.9 \: m \:  {s}^{ - 1} \\ The \: average \: speed \: of \: the \: car \: 50 \: km \:  {h}^{ - 1} \: or \: 13.9 \: m \:  {s}^{ - 1}.
