EXAMPLE 9. In a group of 400 people, 250 can speak English only and 70 can speak Hindi
only. Find
(i) How many can speak both English and Hindi?
(ii) How many can speak English ?
(iii) How many can speak Hindi?​

in 400 people 250 can speak English and 70 can speak Hindi

so , it means ,

I) the no. of person who can speak both = 400-250+70 = 400-320 = 80

and , ii) No. of people can speak English is = 400-70+80 = 400-150 = 250

Iii) no. og people can speak in hindi = 400-250+70 = 400-320 = 80
