Let the distance from "a "to "b" be x km

Then time of journey while going= distance/speed = (x/60)hrs.

Similarly time while returning = (x/100)hrs.

Total distance travelled=2x (going x km and returning x km)

Total time = x/60 + x/100

=(8x/300)hrs

Average speed

= total dist./total time

=2x/(8x/300)

=75km/hr
